Coins for Christ
Coins placed in the collection plate each Sunday are used to help support a seminary student. Your spare change is put to good use and greatly appreciated.
Donate your old used birthday, anniversary and Christmas cards to be used in a Mission project by bringing them to the church office.
Stamps for Missions
Save your cancelled stamps (regular and commemorative) and place them in the shoe box on the table in the gathering area. Please keep at least 1/2 inch border around the stamps or put the whole envelope in the box.
Groceries for Good Causes
Kowalski's will donate a percentage of the number of store receipts placed in the Mt. Zion receipt box each quarter. So, when you shop next door, please remember to place your receipt in the Mt. Zion receipt box near the front of the store.

West Africa Mission Trip
Jack Carlos, Minister of Outreach for Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, had the opportunity to visit three counties in West Africa with a team from St. Michaels Lutheran Church of Bloomington. The mission team visited Senegal, Mali, and Guinea. They spent the first week in Senegal, ministering to the LCMS World Mission missionaries from the surrounding West African countries who do not often get time to spend relaxing, worshiping in their own language, and spending time with other Christians from their own culture. The mission team provided Bible studies, worship, and fun activities for both the adults and children.
The group traveled to Siguiri, Guinea to see where Tim & Heidi Norton are working among the Maninka and had the opportunity to see firsthand, the work that God is doing though missionary Tim Norton who has mastered the Maninka language so he can spread the word of God to these people, who are Muslim.
Please continue to keep the Norton family in your prayers and pray for the new leaders, that they will be bold and courageous in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others.
